AMAZONSCRUBS contain proteins, fibers, and unsaponifiable, as well as 3-5% residual vegetable oil, which means that in addition to exfoliating, they have some of the oil’s active ingredients.

Brazil nut scrub (Bertholletia excelsa seed powder) is light brown and obtained from Brazil nuts. Its physical-chemical composition contains proteins, phenolic compounds, unsaponifiable matter, nitrogen, and a high concentration of total tannins. In the healing of wounds, burns, and inflammation, tannins help by forming a protective layer (tannin-protein complex and polysaccharide) on injured epithelial tissues, allowing the tissue repair process to occur naturally underneath this layer. Because it contains part of the residual chestnut oil in its composition, the Brazil nut scrub contains selenium, which protects cells against the action of free radicals, preventing sagging and aging skin.
